The Canary Islands, beach by beach
Choose an island
Select an island to see its beaches, tide pools and natural pools. Weather, sea, tide, cameras, flag and occupancy.
Important: NÁYADE data comes from the available official health registry; uncatalogued beaches or pools appear as having no sanitary data. Tide pools and natural pools depend on tide and swell. Always check sea conditions before bathing and avoid visiting during strong high tide, ground swell or coastal warnings.
Parking and access
Parking before reaching the beach
Useful information about parking areas near beaches. When a public real-time source exists, Canal Playa links to the official data without copying or modifying it.
Las Teresitas
Santa Cruz City Council provides real-time parking occupancy for Las Teresitas.
- Main parking area: 355 spaces.
- Parking by the sand: 963 spaces.
- Municipal occupancy code: green, yellow and red.
Las Canteras
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria provides public parking information and beach consultation tools.
- SAGULPA publishes available spaces online.
- LPA Beach provides beach occupancy and transport information.
- Useful for Las Canteras and the urban area.
Southern tourist areas
For beaches such as El Duque, Amadores, Puerto de Mogán, Maspalomas or Papagayo, the first card shows basic access and parking guidance.
- Parking available / limited / difficult.
- Access on foot, by bus, taxi or private vehicle.
- Municipal link when a reliable source exists.
Wild beaches and tide pools
In areas such as Cofete, Benijo, Nogales, Aguas Verdes or natural pools, real-time data should not be promised without an official source.
- We will indicate access difficulty.
- Approximate or limited parking.
- Recommendation: caution and planning.
Canal Playa criterion: live data will only be shown when it comes from an official or authorised public source. If no source exists, the card will say “no real-time data”.

Our own system to recognise beaches, tide pools and bathing areas with a favourable history. It does not replace official flags, lifeguards, Blue Flag or municipal warnings.

Canal Playa's highest distinction for bathing areas with 5 consecutive years without verified serious incidents, destacando en calidad de aguas, servicios y entorno.
Silver Beach
High quality
Recognition for beaches, tide pools and bathing areas with 3 consecutive years without verified serious incidents, manteniendo un nivel alto en calidad de aguas, servicios y entorno.
Bronze Beach
Good quality
First level of the Canal Playa system for bathing areas with 1 year without verified serious incidents y comportamiento favorable en calidad de aguas, servicios y entorno.
How it works: estos distintivos son una clasificación propia de Canal Playa.

- Health closures or bathing bans.

- Coastal warnings or unmanaged recurring risks.
- Available and verifiable official data.

The ranking is ready to store the annual history. For now beaches appear as pending verification until official seasonal data is added.
